Floating above snow-covered mountain tops in a basket: By now, the colourful spectacle is already taking place for the 32^nd time: more than 35 balloonist teams are starting in the BP Gas Balloon Trophy to show what they can do with their multi-coloured spheres in the sky. People who are not satisfied with just watching can climb into one of the baskets themselves to explore every spot of the region from hundreds of metres of altitude. The 'nights of the glowing balloons' are the visual highlights of this week.

A steady hand and a good sense of balance are the participants' most important characteristics in the unique Ski & Golf World Championships in Zell am See-Kaprun. Professionals as well as would-be professionals are competing in two disciplines that could not possibly be any more different. From the ski run on Kitzsteinhorn, the competitors move directly on to the championship courses of the Golf Club. The World Championships start on 11th May and the winners in each of the five age groups will be awarded their prizes on 15th May.
